Christmas at the Jones'

Is it just me or did it feel like the Christmas season was extremely long this year? I swear Costco had out Christmas decorations before Halloween! But then again, it felt like Christmas was just dream and passed by. This year Glen Allen and I decided to tackle Black Friday and believe it or not we were VERY successful! One early morning, 4 hours and two stores and the Christmas shopping was just about done! Along with our Black Friday success came a laptop that both of us needed, which means Christmas came for both of us the day after Thanksgiving. As most of you know, my husband LOVES the thrill of trying to find out what he is getting for Christmas before Christmas day and he usually can't wait for the big day but I think it was a little bit of a let down that we knew and had already been using our Christmas gift for about a month by the time Christmas actually rolled around. Regardless, we still had a great Christmas! The boys were so excited for Santa to come! Glen David has really grasped the idea of Santa and gifts and he asked me at least 2 or 3 times every day for about a month, "When is Santa coming?". He couldn't wait for his Power Ranger costume!

This year we started the festivities on Christmas Eve by spending time with my side of the family. My sister and her family were in town from Texas so we spend a lot of time with them during the week they were here. Then Christmas day was as busy as it is every year. It started bright and early! Glen Allen woke up the boys and we did the Christmas presents from Santa and mom and dad at home and then loaded up and headed to my parents for a while. Then over to my in-laws for presents and Grandpa Allen's traditional Christmas morning breakfast. YUM! Then back to my parents to spend time and play games and then out to Grandma Jones' for the Jones family dinner and presents. We left our house at 8:00 in the morning and didn't get home until 8:00 pm that night. Needless to say, by the end of the day we were exhausted! Although it is sometimes hectic, it's nice to have so much family so close! It allows us to spend time with all sides of the family on Christmas day! Here are a few pictures of the morning...
